Meet Israel I.

Israel believes that all students are capable of achieving greatness through a growth mindset, and he has personally seen his students succeed academically through his teaching methods and encouragement.

One of his proudest accomplishments as a teacher was helping a student leap from a 4th-grade level of geometric and algebraic reasoning to a high school senior level in less than one school year. This was possible by believing in his student and not casting judgment just because the student was struggling. Together, they figured out what they liked, what they disliked, and how to find better ways of solving difficult problems by taking their time with each one. Helping his student learn mathematics at an accelerated rate through one-on-one instruction was a fantastic challenge, and it proved that students on the spectrum can still solve difficult math problems.
